What are your thoughts on letting your dog sleep with you in bed? I've always done this with my dogs but have no idea how long I should crate train before moving him into my bed or should I just put him in there and get up more often expecting a few more messes??

It's been a week, and I bought this crate, blankets, food, treats, bones to chew on, toys, I'm walking our puppy every two hours, including in the middle of the night. My husband and I just had him run around and play fetch for HOURS, and he's still whining very loudly (a beagle) when i put him in the crate. At this point, I feel that we should have had a child instead, and then maybe one day advance to the dog.

We're giving this dog our all, but this is so frustrating. I'm not even talking about "accidents," biting etc., we just need to get some freaking sleep at least between those two-hour walks. How can anyone go through this?? We already love our dog, and we can't imagine not keeping him, but how do we survive this? I'm exhausted…

My dog uses my bathroom (sometime at least near the door) or if I let him outside, he does it on the lawn.

Our puppy is 6 weeks old. She's doing a pretty good job going outside. I take her out right after I open the crate. I really want to leash her so she gets used to it and learns to follow me, however at the moment that seems impossible. She's so small so I've resorted to picking her up to take her out, but I'm afraid I may be doing myself a disservice in the long run. But when I try to have her follow me on a leash, she refuses to follow and then ends up going before we even get to the door. Any suggestions?
